At Beacon House Preparatory School, we provide a rigorous, values-based education aligned with Illinois Learning Standards. Our students grow as confident learners and compassionate leaders through a strong academic foundation, purposeful technology use, and Islamic character development.

  • ELA (K–5): (HMH Into Reading)

We use a well-rounded program that helps students grow in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. It’s great for building strong literacy skills from the ground up. Starting from 2nd grade, we also bring in novel studies and literature analysis—including Islamic literature. These books definitely bring the fun aspect but also help students build key reading strategies  They also strengthen critical thinking, discussion skills, and the ability to make text-to-self and text-to-world connections.

  • Math: Singapore Math (Math in Focus)

Our math program follows the Singapore Math approach, which focuses on understanding the “why” behind math, not just the “how.” It’s hands-on, visual, and helps kids become confident problem-solvers. Students don’t just memorize—they truly understand.

  • Science

Its an  inquiry-based program that encourages students to ask questions, explore, and think like scientists. Through hands-on investigations, digital tools, and real-world problem solving, students build a solid understanding of life, physical, and earth sciences while learning to observe, hypothesize, and explain.

  • Qur’an Curriculum

Our Qur’an program focuses on Soorah memorization, Tajweed, and fluent recitation. Guided by skilled instructors, students will develop precision, confidence, and a deep connection to the words of Allah.

  • Arabic Language

Our Arabic curriculum is interwoven with the Qur’anic studies program, emphasizing reading, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension using Qur’anic passages to build a deep and meaningful connection to the language.

  • Islamic Studies

Students will study a thoughtful blend of foundational Islamic knowledge and character development. Our program combines select materials from the Imam Al-Ghazali series with additional age-appropriate content focused on Akhlaaq, Fiqh, Seerah, and daily application of Islamic values.
